Tools that I use for scrapbooking and cardmaking

Hello everyone!  I just want to let you know what tools I use for scrapbooking and cardmaking.  I'll let you know where I get them.  Happy S.C.R.A.P.ing! :)

My Basic Tools:
  • Paper Trimmer - I'm using the 12-inch paper trimmer from Provocraft.
  • Ruler - I use 2:  a metal ruler and a T-square ruler, both of which I got from National Bookstore.
  • Adhesive - I use several:  Bostik GluTack, Orions Magic Glue Tape, and Aleene's Jewel-It Embellishing Glue.  The first two I get from National Bookstore while the Aleene's is from the Craft World store in SM Megamall.
  • Pencil and Eraser
  • White Pen Marker - I use 2:  Sakura Souffle White (available in Saizen and NBS) and Shneider 278 White Paint-Marker 0.8mm (available in Office Warehouse)
  • Black permanent Marker - I use Sharpie Ultra Fine Point Permanent Marker also available at NBS.
  • Cardstocks and Patterned Paper - I use ordinary cardstocks which you can buy at any local bookstore such as National Bookstore and SM Department stationery section.  I got the patterned papers from Memory Lane Store, a specialty store for scrapbooking materials owned by Ms. Helen Chua.  I love going to their store and they also have an online store.  You can check out their website at this link:

My Joy, My Life

Here are the two most important persons in my life.  They keep me happy and alive.  They inspire me, encourage me, let me be the best that I can be.  They are the source of my joy...they are my life...

Card Making

I love making cards.  It relaxes me.  It helps me gather my thoughts.  It stimulates my mind to be creative.
I usually make cards at night after I put my daughter, Nina, to bed.  Before Nina was born, I make scrapbook page layouts but due to my tight schedule, creating cards became my outlet for creativity.
I learned a lot of  the basics of cardmaking from Kristina Werner, she's one of the Garden Girls at Two Peas in a Bucket. (http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/) You can visit her blog and read her article on Cardmaking101, a 4-part article on cardmaking for beginners.  I really love her work.  Here's a link to that article:

Cardmaking is a fun way to channel one's creativity.  It's a joy for me to give these cards to my friends and loved ones.  Here are just some of the cards that I made.  Don't worry I'll share with you how I make some of my cards in my next post.  Happy S.C.R.A.P.ing! :)

I made this card for Vikka, my husband's neice, for her 12th birthday.

I made this card using my Making Memories Slice Die-Cutting Machine.  I used the Basics 1 design card to cut out the flower and the word "enjoy".

This cards is inspired by the layout made by Kristina Werner in one of her Finally Friday posts.  Here's a link to that post:

But instead of using felt flowers, I cut out the flowers in my MM Slice using the Basics 2 design card.
